Research Proposal: Increase in Suicides

          Suicide is a growing epidemic among all age groups, the one age group that continues to grow day by day is the adolescent.  Nearly 4,600 kids killed themselves in the United States in 1998, and approximately 46,000 other tried. (Thomerson 2002) As a society there needs to be something done in order to prevent anymore suicides. 
        As an adolescent its sometimes better to run away and walk away from the problem.  The goverment needs to come together acknowledge the reasons of suicide, be aware of the increase suicide rates and  decide on how it can be prevented.
      This research paper will inform and acknowledge the reader of the growing epidemic of teen suicides and how we as a society can prevent it.

I'm glad that they let her and her 83 year old daughter stay at home.  The movers and police refused to move her and her daughter out...I mean they are not hurting anyone shes 103 years old...why move her now.  The other family member needs to pay that second loan that was taken out after the house was paid off.

Its seems like every year adolescents just get more violent and less remorseful. There has always been bullying but in recent years the incidents that come out of those acts have led to suicides and school shootings. This young teen was bullied for a year and was attacked, why did the girls bully her? Was it worth it in the end? They probably did it because they wanted to make a name from themselves, out of jealousy, envy, no one will ever know.  They are teenagers and to them they are invisible and it doesn't effect them. The bully only got a misdemeanor and is to appear in court. Students will continue because theres not any major repercussions for their actions.
