Teen Bullied, Attacked at Garland HS, Parents Say
Its seems like every year adolescents just get more violent and less remorseful. There has always been bullying but in recent years the incidents that come out of those acts have led to suicides and school shootings. This young teen was bullied for a year and was attacked, why did the girls bully her? Was it worth it in the end? They probably did it because they wanted to make a name from themselves, out of jealousy, envy, no one will ever know. They are teenagers and to them they are invisible and it doesn't effect them. The bully only got a misdemeanor and is to appear in court. Students will continue because theres not any major repercussions for their actions.
There have been so many situations now adays where kids have committed suicide, or lashed out on a bully. One major thing in common is the fact that it has been a long continuous bout of harassment, and bullying. The second most disturbing common factor is the fact that so many of these bullied people have actually told someone about it. I guess with the idea of tough love, or the thinking its kids just being kids is no longer cutting it. Adults, other students, anybody and everybody when they see bullying tell someone, so that it stops before it turns into something much, much worse.
